Mununjali Fire Team
The Mununjali Fire Team is leading a powerful Cultural Fire revival on Yugambeh Country. What began as small family gatherings has grown into a dynamic, community‑driven network reconnecting young people, Elders and Country through Cultural Fire. Based on Minjehla Dhagun ‘Happy Country’ at Mount Barney, the team works alongside Yugambeh Land Enterprises Limited, an Indigenous organisation founded by Elders in 1997. Together, they’re restoring Cultural Fire practice, healing Country, and strengthening community leadership. Living Knowledge Network is supporting Community Hub development workshops and capacity building to advance a clear pathway toward autonomy. With strengthened governance and growing partnerships, the shared vision is in motion: Yugambeh people thriving on Yugambeh Country—present, active, and leading land management for generations to come.

We partner with Traditional Owners, Community groups and land holders to restore the health of Country and people through Indigenous Land Management practices. This collaborative work delivers diverse outcomes, from boosting community resilience and agricultural profitability to creating employment and revitalising koala habitats.
